Diane Trasatti M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD-BE
Owner, Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a wife, mother, and bilingual speech therapist with over 12 years of experience working with children of all ages. My background has given me insight into the importance of using strategies that fit into a busy lifestyle and listening to the unique needs of each family that I work with.
Every child deserves a voice, and I am passionate about supporting all methods of communication - whether spoken, signed, or selected on an AAC device. I have learned that children grow the quickest when parents and therapists work together toward common goals, so I am equally focused on empowering parents as their child’s most important language teachers. My goal is to help parents feel like they have options, resources, and support throughout the process, and I strive to find solutions to the obstacles that they are facing in their daily lives.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, and my master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. Since then, I have worked in public schools, private preschools, early intervention settings, a pediatric hospital, and private practice. I am dedicated to continuing my education and discovering new resources so that my practice is current, evidence-based, and effective.
Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my family and attending my children’s extracurricular activities! I enjoy paddle boarding, running, hiking, and going to the beach.
Advanced Certifications & Trainings:
Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) Training
Bilingual Extension Institute Certificate (Teachers College, Columbia University)
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
